Green Juice Before the Summer Is Over

Green Juice

3 main ingredients (organic or from a local farm is preferred):

1 lemon or lime with peel (remember peels are good for liver detoxification)

1 inch piece of ginger

½ cucumber (or ½ summer squash, ½ of green apple, celery, broccoli, Brussels sprouts)


Any combination of greens (can be a left over from your vegetables) – green beans, cabbage, leaves of broccoli, dandelions, kale, any kind of letters (except iceberg), swish chard, cauliflower, any herbs (mint, parsley, cilantro, basil, dill), purslane (contains more omega-3 fatty acids than any other leafy vegetable plant)

Plus about 1 cup of water

1. Add everything to the blender.  Blend well.

2. Squeeze the liquid through cheese cloth or nut milk bag.
